Garden Hills Cool Sharks

Coach Rebekah is an Assistant Coach at Swim Atlanta Georgia Tech, and this is her third season coaching with the Cool Sharks. Before coming to Garden Hills, Rebekah was the head coach for the Highland Pointe Piranhas summer swim team in Cobb County, after working as an assistant coach with the Piranhas for 5 years. She swam competitively with Stingrays Swimming in Marietta for 8 years and then moved on to become a LAPS and Age Group coach for the Stingrays for 2 years. 

Coach Caroline is an Assistant Coach at Swim Atlanta Georgia Tech. She grew up in North Carolina and Kentucky, swimming competitively and on her summer league teams. She started coaching and teaching private swim lessons in 2018. Caroline is entering her senior year at Georgia Tech as a Biomedical Engineering major and is a member of the GT Varsity Swim Team. 

Fiona was a founding member of the Inman/Howard Middle School Swim Team and a varsity swimmer for the Grady/Midtown High School Swim Team. This is her 13th season on the Garden Hills Cool Sharks team and her fourth season as a Cool Sharks coach and lessons instructor, working with swimmers of all ages from 2-year-olds to adults. She was also the Shark Pups Assistant Coach in 2021 and 2022. Fiona will be attending Princeton University in the fall!

Hunter is a varsity swimmer at Georgia Tech. He was born in Littleton, Colorado where he grew up swimming for the Denver Hilltoppers. He graduated from Columbine Highschool where in his senior year he became a 6 time all American, state champion, and current state record holder. Hunter was a scholastic All American swimmer and team captain during his time at Columbine. This is his first season as a Cool Sharks coach, after 2 years of doing private lessons through his neighborhood pool back home in Colorado. 

Hunter specializes in competitive racing and focuses on race-oriented swimmers.

Coach Hunter is no longer scheduling lessons this season.

Emily swims for the North Atlanta Varsity Team. She has been a Cool Sharks swimmer for 12 seasons and this is her 2nd season as a Cool Sharks coach.

Coach Liam started swimming with the Cool Sharks when he was 8 years old. He swam on the team for 11 seasons and holds several team records (and even set an ASA record!). This is his 6th season as a Cool Sharks coach, making him the longest-serving member of our coaching staff. He swam competitively with Swim Atlanta, Dynamo, and the Spartans Aquatic Club for 10 years; and was a 4-time State Team member, Captain, and school record holder on the Midtown High School Varsity Swim Team. Liam is a Biomedical Engineering major at the University of Arizona, where he works as a manager and trainer with the U of A Varsity Swim & Dive Team.

Liam only teaches Cool Sharks team members, with a focus on swimmers who want to improve technique and increase race performance.

Coach Liam is no longer scheduling lessons this season.

Sarah S was a varsity swimmer for the Marist School Swim Team, and previously swam for the Marist Middle School team. This is her 13th season with the Garden Hills Cool Sharks team and her third season as a Shark Pups Coach and lessons instructor. She is also a Garden Hills Pool manager. Sarah will be attending Georgia Tech as an Electrical Engineering major this fall!

Sarah P was a varsity swimmer and 4x state team member with the Midtown High School varsity team, where she was a team captain and holds several team records. This is her third year coaching and teaching lessons with the Cool Sharks, after previously swimming and coaching at Ansley Golf Club. She is also an Assistant Coach with our Cool Sharks Adult Team. Sarah just finished her freshman year at UNC Chapel Hill.

Rachel is currently a 2nd year at UGA studying psychology. She’s been swimming competitively on and off since 6 years old, and swam for Stingrays Swimming and Lassiter High School swim teams. She also coached on the Highland Pointe Piranhas for 2 years and went on to give lessons with Aqua-tots for a summer. She works with all ages.

Coach Rachel is no longer scheduling lessons this season.

Zoe is a competitive swimmer with the Pace Varsity Team and previously swam for Buckhead Aquatics. This is her 12th season as a Cool Sharks swimmer and her second year as a Cool Sharks and Shark Pups coach. She is also a lifeguard at Garden Hills Pool.

Coach Zoe is no longer scheduling lessons this season.

Charlotte swims for the Marist Varsity Team. This is her 12th season as a Cool Sharks swimmer and her 3rd season as a Cool Sharks coach.
